Barbara's Story
Life
After graduating from PHS I attended Westbrook College in Portland. After graduation I flew for Eastern Airlines for 3 years, based in NYC and BOS. I married Joe Bukata, class of '60, in 1969. I met him when I was 21, but never knew he existed even though we had mutual friends. We lived in Kansas, Alabama, and Georgia before settling in Clearwater, FL in 1982. We have a son, 38, and a daughter, 34. Our son is married and lives in Gainesville, Fl (yes he's a Gator!) and has a boy and a girl. Our daughter lives in Statesboro, GA and has...Expand for more
two boys and a baby girl. I have my own business, Showcase Interiors, and have been in the decorating business for over 28 years. My husband is retired and we hope to be snowbirds after I retire. We have a lakefront cottage in Maine, so we travel back and forth during the summer. I keep in touch with Nancy Snook, Nancy Cleveland, Janet Lacey and Cheri Chisholm. We always have a mini reunion when we can. I sure still miss Portsmouth and all the wonderful memories of childhood. We get up to Portsmouth frequently during the summer and fall.
