Barbara's Story
Life
Oh, sure, I could fill volumes about Kate. But I'll spare you until you're really interested. Suffice to say she's graduated from Smith College, cum laude. The kid left home in Indiana to go to school in Massachusetts, completing the circle where her mom left home in Massachusetts to go to school in Indiana.
That first paragraph, I wrote a year ago. After taking a full year off from school, Kate now attends NCSU, doing summer research in mathematics and will attend graduate school starting in August in a five year program where she will obtain two degrees.

in in Washington State and we had only snail-mail contact--no phones, no internet for her. After three months, she came back down off the mountain and we met up with her in Massachusetts where we attended my nephew's wedding. Then, for 8 months she lived back here in Indiana and it was a pure treat to be with her.
Never having been an at home Mom, to be able to spend the bonus time of those 8 months at home with her, then working in the cafe with her was a lovely treat. And now she is out on her own with a fantastic opportunity.
So, yes, you're right, I'm not talking about myself much.
