Barbara's Story
Moved from California to Tampa, FL to live with my high school/college sweetheart, Douglas Vetromile (NMSH Class of 1968), in March 2012. We were married on October 26, 2013. Douglas passed away on April 25, 2014.
I have two daughters: Carolina Elise Marquez (Kardy) Stasium (37) and Zoey Rebecca Rose Marquez (26), both live in California...Grandsons: Drew Preston Kardy and Tyler Alexander Kardy, and Nicholas Stasium.
Two ex-husbands: Michael Marquez, father of my daughters, & Ted Froyland.
My precious little Shih Tsu, Chubecca, passed away on 4/14/12 after 15 years of love and companions...Expand for more
hip. However, for Christmas 2013, Douglas and I adopted a Shih Tsu puppy...Michi. She is my littlest love.
Left Miami in 1971. Lived in Schenectady, N.Y., then North Carolina, then L.A., then San Jose, then Santa Cruz, then Bay Area, California...now I'm back in Florida.
English literature and History major...Cabrillo College, Aptos, CA.
Have owned and operated five creative businesses.
Retired Administrative Assistant to Alameda County Chief Probation Officer.
Love, love to read (history, historical fiction, bio's). Avid genealogist; have researched my family back before Charlemagne.
