Barbara's Story
Life
Leldon Cox and I have been married since 1959 and have 2 sons, 1 daughter, 4 grandsons and 3 granddaughters ranging in age from 8 years to 31 years. We have lived in Bonham except for 2 years in Sherman in 1960-1961.
I retired from VPG in Dec. 2007. Prior to VPG, I worked 17 years as Sec. at Seventh & Main Baptist Church.
Lel retired from General Cable in Aug. of 2002, but worked on contract until it's closing in Feb. of 2006.
We'd like to travel some and spent quality time with each other and our kids and grandkids.
We just had our first two great granddaughters, Carsyn Ruth Cox born to our oldest grandson, Clayton Cox on Sept. 23. 2013 and Hazel Mae ...Expand for more
Hissam, born to our oldest granddaughter, Callie Hissam on Sept. 29th 2013...born 6 days apart. What a blessing for us and their grandparents, Chuck and Cheryl Cox.
Our grandson, Colton Lee Cox married his girlfriend of 7 years, Sarah Stanley on March 28, 2015. She headed back to the University of Arkansas and he headed back to his service in the USAF in Great Falls, MT.

School
Other than Bonhi, I've taken 3 courses at Grayson County College. I've never been motivated to get a degree, but enjoyed Sociology, Psychology and my computer course.
