Barbara's Story
Well, politically, I'm a conservative Republican. That's the only way I would call myself "conservative". In most other ways, I'm pretty liberal.
I have one son, Craig; two grand children, Stephanie, 18, and Robert, 16. Healthwise I have rheumatoid arthritis and have had both knees replaced recently. I also have had both hips replaced. (Probably because of the dancing I did in my teens) I never followed up with my acting except in community theatre. I married a professional musician and moved to Palm Springs, California for about 20 years. Now I live in Northern AZ (Yes, there are 4 seasons here.) I and a few others have started a move to have a 50th school reunion in Branson, Missouri in 2013. If anyone wants to help or have any ideas we're really open to them. What month should we plan for? What events should we have? Does anyone have pictures or a yearbook to share? I don't have mine.
Really hope some of you respond!!
Please respond on the "classmates" website, or there is a SAH website set up too. It's stangelahallacademy1963.com.
That's about all. One of my favorite songs at that time was "Deep Purple" . My boyfriend and I used to request it every time we went out. Speaking of places where we went out -- we used to go to the 'Bow-Wow' on Pennsylvania B'lvd. and also 'Pizza City' which was across the street. We'd go to the Valleystream Drive In ...Expand for more
Theatre, and then go to Mass at Our Lady of the Skies (which was at Kennedy Int'l Airport) after the drive-in. On ocasion we used to go to a place called the '19th Hole' where there was a quartet (piano, bass, drums, sax) playing. That's where we used to request 'Deep Purple".
Thanks,
Barbara
P.S. One of my biggest surprises is that I now wear a cowboy hat and hunt some game here in Arizona! If you would have told me that that's what you'll be doing in 40 years, I would have laughed out loud! If I could improve my home, I'd remodel my patio. I still might.
If I won $100 million, I'd give ten of it to help cure cancer, then spend the rest on safe garding my family without them knowing about it; and oh yes, the rest is a secret.
To be truly happy I would have a home in the wilderness surrounded by my family whenever they wished and promoting anyone and everyone to get back integrity into their lives (like our illustrious politicians. My current age is 64, When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be dead. I was so completely wrong. In 10 years I hope to be alive and healthy. I will achieve that easily.
My first job was at the ticket office of a B'way show, where I got paid I don't remember what. What I remember most about it was answering a phone call from Gerraldine Page! Used the Story Wizard to the right to add on to my story.
