Barbara's Story
Life
I have been married twice. The first time for 25 years. The second time for 9 years but we have been together for 21 years. I have a wonderful step-daughter and 3 abyssinian cats. Own a home in Tustin California. We are planning to move to Austin Texas in retirement as California is probably going to be too expensive.
Workplace
Have had a couple of gigs - Have sold Insurance Benefit plans for 43 years. I always thought insurance was boring but looking back on my career it has been a pretty wild ride! I also have owned a gift and book shop for the past 17 years. So I get to escape to my gift shop when things in insurance get ugly.
Hobbies
Love the NFL. We are diehard Steeler fans (one day we may actually get to visit Pittsburgh). Love to travel and enjoy plays. My husband and I see Phantom of the Opera every chance we can get. s Wedding - to name a few. My husband plays blues guitar & bass and we both enjoy tequila. My current favorites are Casa Maestri Anejo, Maestro Dobel Diamond and Herrdura Anejo. I keep telling him he needs to open a tequila blues bar,,,,,,,,
Travels
Tahiti (Moorea, Huahine, Raitea, Bora Bora), Egypt, England, Hawaii (Big Island is my favorite), Puerto Vallarta, New Orleans (best food and best music) and New York a few times (great theater). In June I visit Denver for the New Age Trade Show. And I make an annual trek to Tucson for the big Gem & Mineral Show. If you want to get overwhelmed - that is the place (if you like rocks). Over the years I have become friends with people from all over the world who come to the show to sell various specimens.
Adventures
Ghost hunting, investigating the paranormal, astrology & tarot card readings. I love massages and get one every week. The best dining experience I have ever had - Commander's Palace in New Orleans.
