Barbara's Story
Life
I guess bios start at the beginning. I was born in Texas and raised in Arkansas. After college (Henderson State University) and a few unsatisfactory jobs, I went to work for the IRS in Columbia, SC. That was in 1973. I loved living in the "Old South", but missed home. I moved back to Texas, Dallas, to be exact, in 1981, still with the IRS. In 1987 I took a managerial position in Houston and have been here ever since. I retired after 30 years of service in January 2004.

found him about 7 years ago and we have been in touch ever since. He lives in Fayetteville, AR with a daughter age 10 and a son age 6. It's nice to be called "Grandma Barbara."
Retirement is something I highly recommend. I seem to be busier now that when I was working. I've been a volunteer with a local animal adoption group since about 2000 and serve as a foster mom for rescued cats and kittens until they are adopted. I also have been doing some selling on eBay. It's an interesting endeavor and I learn something new everyday.
Lastly, I'm happy and healty and really love my life. Updates to come, I'm sure.
