barbara's Story
I have lived in Jerusalem, Ohio since 1987-88 on 56 acres I named "Rainbow's End" - because it is an end of many!! Prior to that I lived in an array of locations in Northeast Ohio - born in Cleveland, 1946 (the first year of "Baby Boomer's"!!), then moving to Orwell, Ohio in the '50's.
I now live alone with my pets and all creatures and sounds that these lands provide; my nearest neighbor is at least a 3/4 mile drive, and I see only those coming down my dead-end road, 1/2 mile+ from my mailbox!!
In addition to Grand Valley, I graduated from Andrew's School for Girls (now merged with the Osborn school in the Willoughby/Painesville area), I also attended OSU, with courses at via Kent and other schools. Much of my education was via seminars, workshops, and other works -- including with Richard Moss at Sky-Hi Ranch, Werner Erhard (the Est Training, 1978 +,) , and a multitude of other works in areas of Communications, Psychology, Sociology, etc.
My 1st Life Work started as a Counselor in the Employment arena, as of July 1967, which led to many opportunities to work with individuals possessing a wide variety of personalities and skill levels in the computer industry. This led to owning my own business and performing all the tasks that this entails. LOVED it all and still work with in...Expand for more
dividuals who need my assistance. The business was sold in 1987, when my family (husband, Bill, passed in 2006 and daughter Jen) moved to Jerusalem.
Now my Life Work is to function as Caretaker of this Land, and to share this Space with those who will benefit from being at a Retreat and Learning Center, where individuals and groups leave wiser than they were before. Even if it is only to walk in a creek for the first time, or spot a bird they have never seen! I could write a book!
In addition my interests include the study of religions and other Spiritual Paths, like American Indian paths, Quakerism, the Toltec (read Don Miguel Ruiz' "The Four Agreements",and any others that may come my way. My music interests include all of John Denver's work, Barbra Streisand's - a must is her "Common Ground" album. What I listen to the most is the Coffee House Classical Accoustic via Sirius.
Want to know more?? Contact me!! If I do not respond do it again or try another method, please!! On Facebook, but not recently, and mostly to play Farmville! I do check e-mails but have to see names I recognize or mail is deleted. Get my phone #, or request it from me if you do not have it. Etc. Living alone makes getting a human communication a desired experience!!!
Blessings to You!
