Barbara's Story
Hi everyone, OK, it has been 46 years for heavens sake!!!! I know my hair looks blond in the photo, but I never was a blonde, now my hair is white!!! I still can't believe it when I look in the mirror! I have simply been living my life, and it has been a full one.
I have been married to the same great guy for 28 years, prior to that 2 other marriages that were interesting to say the least. Four kids, (that's why the white hair) and NO GRAND CHILDREN. I am looking forward to that someday.
My oldest son died 5 years ago, that was a hard time, my 2 daughters are both beautiful and successful, one married one not. My youngest son now 25 has dreadlocks past his shoulders, plays music and makes my crazy. If anyone remembers my grandfather he looks...Expand for more
just like him! Of course Pop had a buzz cut, no dreads.
I live in Ware, MO as small town outside of Hillsboro, MO. It's close to where my grandparents lived when I was growing up. I love it here, but we may move to be near some body of water in the next couple of years.
I retired in December 2009. I worked in Real Estate in the 80's and 90's. I became a mortgage office in 2002 and loved it. I do not miss working, but I miss all the people. Now I raise cactus in my greenhouse and just hang out with my hubby who retired a few years ago at 55. (Yes, I married a younger man, Pattonville 1969)
I think of high school once in awhile, and aside from being blackballed from Sigma Delta Epsilon my experience at Riverview was absolutely great.
