Barbara Hunter:  

Life I am single and living in Virginia, outside of Washington, DC. I share my home with my two rescue mutts who provide lots of love and wagging tails! I have spent most of my adult life teaching children, ranging in age from 2- 12. I felt that teaching was my calling. However, in 2002 I had to leave my job as a sixth grade teacher and go on disability, due to Chronic Lyme Disease, which I have had since childhood, but was only recently diagnosed. My life has changed, but I am happy with where I am today. I have three adult children, one married and living in New York City, where he is an educator helping to open a new early childhood school in Queens. He and his wife recently blessed me with my first grandchild, a beautiful little girl. My middle one recently moved out on his own. He has a BFA in painting and spends a lot of his time working on Hip Hop music. He is taking some graphic design courses to increase his chances of getting a job using his artistic talents. My youngest, my daughter, is now in her third year at the University of MD Law School and working hard, but loving it! She spent seven years in NC where she attended Elon University and then stayed and worked for three years before returning to VA, boyfriend in tow.
