Barbara's Story

Workplace I started out teaching Home Economics after graduating from college. I taught for 3 years before I had children. I stayed home while the children were small and got my masters degree in reading. I taught remedial reading for 10 years before deciding that I really did not want to be a teacher anymore. rofession until I retired in 2004. I never regretted any of my decisions and feel very fortunate I had such a varied work experience. Now I lost my husband of 42 years to cancer in 2010. It has been a challenege to try and find new beginnings. My children and grandchildren mean the world to me although they live far away. I stay positvie and hopeful as each day brings new experiences.

I just got back from a cruise with my brothers and sister-in-law on the Norweign Pearl. What a fabulous time. Thought I would share some memories.

I just got the best birthday present. Hand drawn pictures from my grandsons in Philly and also added was Jack's T-ball baseball card. What more could a Grammy ask for?
