Barbara's Story
Life
I am divorced since 1978. I have three lovely, smart daughters, and followed up with only one (also very smart) son. No brag, just fact (lol).
My oldest daughter is married has a daughter (from first marriage) herself (now 21) and she is studying drama at the Univ. of Colorado. Their family moved to Colorado several years ago and I miss them terribly. My daughter attended University of Colorado herself in order to get her Master's Degree in "Photography" She now teaches at the University and has her own photography business Her work has been in a few magazines and exhibits around the U.S.
My second daughter lives with me and is single (never married) with no children. Right now, she is working temporary jobs as a Data Entry Operator.
My third daughter moved to Denver herself to "start" a new (single) life...she has three children, two sons and a daughter. The oldest son lives with his Dad in Houston. The two younger ones live with her in Colorado, across town from her older sister & her husband, who is retired. She was working for the CEO of a large architectual firm and recently bought her own home. Unfortunately her boss there passed away Christmas day 2009. The company downsized a lot & she just recently was laid off...Expand for more
along with quite a few others (she had shortest time there). Happy ending though -- she was off for a few weeks, but managed to find a job that she is extremely happy with.
My son, who is the youngest of the four, lives here in Houston. He works for one of the large computer companies here. Has a very nice job. He is married to a wonderful gal and they have two children; one son and one daughter.
Needless to say, I love them all (kids and grandkids) with all my heart.) My kids are what kept me going after my marriage of 20 years ended in divorce. I've never remarried and I am still friends with their dad and his 2nd wife. She's a good person.
P.S. - Didn't seem the "music" selection boxes were very "fifty-ish". "Stones/Beatles" weren't much of a choice for me. They were more in the sixties, weren't they? How about Elvis, Johnny Mathis, Platters, the Four Lads,Chuck Berry, Temptations, etc. Seems those would have been a better fit for us '55 grads. (???)
That's all. Just mentioned the music thing because that is part of my "makeup"
Oh yeah, one more thing...if any of you read about my kitty cats before. I now have none of my own; my little mama kitty died a couple of months ago at the ripe old age of 18 years. (Finis)
