Barbara's Story
Life
Spent the last six years sailing from Seattle thru Mexico, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Panama, Las Perlas Islands, thru The Canal, San Blas Islands, Honduras, Columbia back to Mexico and on to Key West Florida. What a life and the adventures! I know way too much about diesel engines, refridgeration, pumps and lightening! We are presently in Seattle recooping and refitting the boat for our next adventures on the water somewhere in the world.
Opps that got put on hold while we refill the bank account, travel onboard Holland America Cruise ships (working) enjoy helping to raise grandchild number eight and try to figure out how the pounds came onto our bodies, hair turned a different color and I am sure someone drew lines on my face while I was sleeping. But gosh it is a joy to wake up each morning and smile.
School
Biggest crush? The man I am married to at present. Favorite teacher of all was Mr Ham with Mr Taylor coming in a close second. Loved HS and have great memories and lasting frie...Expand for more
ndships. Sox hops, football games, study halls when no studying was done. Groping in the halls between classes, the earthquake and Columbus Day storm. Meeting on the beach for fires and late night chats, trying to find the keggers and getting lost.
College
Four years at WSU taught me I never wanted to live "in land" again, how to support my spending habits playing cards, how to get into bars in Idaho with someone elses ID, how to drink and still get an A on a final and that traveling was the best. Oh yeah some of the classes left lasting impressions and some knowlege.
Workplace
Thirty years in the Dental Field left me with great teeth, the ability to get anyone to pay for pain and agony and the ability to live the life style we have become accustomed to these past 6 years. Last ten years managing an apt building in the Wedgwood area of Seattle and hoping soon we both can retire once again to lay in the sun and play in the warm waters of a sandy beach somewhere in the world.
