Barbara's Story
Life
I am a proud mother of 2 soon to be adults. My daughter graduates high school in June and my son in a year. I am working full time at a local hospital and continuing to go to college.
I moved around quite a bit after high school. I lived briefly in Oregon, Washington, Montana, and Idaho before I settled down for 6 years in Yosemite National Park. That is the place I got married and had both of my kids. I moved on to spend 6 years in South Lake Tahoe after that. We spent a year in Washington State before moving to Grass Valley, California. Workplace
I have had a ton of jobs over the years. Worked in Yosemite at the concession doing many different jobs. Also worked in the local library there. In Tahoe I worked as a Night Auditor for a motel and also in the casinos in the High Limit Slot dept. and in the main cashier cage. For the last 8 years I have been working as a certified nursing assistant, the last 6 in a local hospital on the medical/ oncology floor. I have been trying to pursue my college education whenever possible while working fulltime and raising my kids.
