Barbara Minas:  

Barbara is from Hammond, Indiana. She attended Kenwood Elementary School and Washington Junior High. After moving to Scottsdale, AZ, she attended Judson School in Paradise Valley, AZ and Ferry Hall in Lake Forest, IL. At the University of Arizona her majors were European History and English Literature and she completed a BA in 1964. She married and had a daughter and son. The family moved to Tacoma, WA in 1969, where Barb earned a BFA at Pacific Lutheran University. She opened Arcadia Learning Center, a Montessori school. She taught ceramics at Pierce College, while earning an MFA in ceramics at the University of Puget Sound. Barb taught in the gifted program at the Peninsula School District, Gig Harbor, WA. She was a stockbroker with Merrill Lynch in the early 80's. She was an assistant professor of art at Pacific Lutheran University. She also taught art at Stad...Expand for more
