Barbara's Story
Life
I have four children: Jesse - born January 12, 1977; Eric - born May 31, 1979; Aaron - born September 19, 1981; Aurelia (Lia) - born April 13, 1984.
Following high school graduation, I worked for the University of Pennsylvania as a secretary, then as a lab technician in the biochemistry department.
I relocated to the west coast (near Seattle, Washington) in 1978 where I worked for GTE Northwest, developing a career as a computer specialist.
Following a brief stint in Forida, I worked for another 7 years as a computer technician and network administrator for a subsidiary of Philips (...Expand for more
called ATL) that manufactures ultrasound equipment.
In 1999, following the (almost total) destruction of my house by a falling tree, along with meeting (and falling in love with)an Italian, I decided to relocate to Italy.
I am currently working as a computer lab manager for an American university in Rome, Italy called John Cabot University. I will be married to Diego Di Santo this spring. We recently bought a house about 30 km northeast of Rome. The house sits on the top of a hill with a spectacular view of the surrounding countryside and numerous fruit trees, olive trees, and grapevines.
