I have enjoyed so much getting in touch with those who attended Schoenblick while I was there Those were really good times and lots of fun memories. I got married 6 months after I returned to Canada in June of 1964 and moved to Iowa. My son, Michael, was born in March 1966 and shortly thereafter his father and I split up. I moved back to Canada and finished my high school then worked for an Insurance company. Certainly didn't pay enough to raise a child so I went to Nursing School and became a Registered Nurse. My sister had moved out to Vancouver and my parents had brought Michael out for a visit and that was all I heard about once he returned. In June 1978 we moved to Vancouver and I worked at both Vancouver General then at Lions Gate until Michael got old enough to think he didn't need a sitter and I was working 12 hour night shifts I decided a new career was necessary. I became a Pharmaceutical Rep( legalized drug pusher everyone called me) and became the first female rep for Squibb Canada in the Western Provinces. I really enjoyed that and it was certainly a better fit as a single mom. I moved down to Oregon in 1993 and married Chuck Wohlert and went to work for Smith-Kline Beecham then did pharmaceutical contra...Expand for more
