Barbara's Story
I've been here in Los Angeles since 1962.I graduated from Cal State Long Beach with a degree in Psychology and a special education credential. I've been married for almost 25 years, have one daughter and a step-daughter and stepson, and four grandchildren, and we are lucky enough to have them living close by. Most of my working career was spent as a special education teacher in LA Unified, working with middle school students. I also worked for awhile on Four Wheeler Magazine as an associate editor and photographer. enjoyed teaching some English as a second language to Chinese students. My husband and I love to travel and have been to China twice and to Peru and Ecuador.
Now I'm retired and my husband and I enjoy reading, gardening, camping, traveling and spending time with grandchildren. We love dogs and have an American Eskimo we found in the desert, and just acquired a Belgian Shepherd puppy.
I used to travel back to the Greater Cincinnati area quite a bit when my mother was alive. She passed away in 2009 at the age of 92.
I can't believe it's been half a century since high school! I'd love to hear what old friends and classmates are doing.
