Life
My Spouse
First met Martin in 1951 while on vacation in Sweden. Stayed in touch by mail for three years then met again while going to school outside of Stockholm. Returned to the States in 1955, married, two children, divorced. Stayed in touch with Martin when on vacations to Sweden and met again via e-mail 1997, vacation to meet again in 1998 in Barbados. I took early retirement and partial-moved to Sweden March 1999; married Martin in November same year. Now we spend the winters in Southern California and the summers in Sweden, with some traveling to France, Mexico, etc. in between. Would love to meet (via e-mail) some more of my Glenbrook High school mates.

Well, since I wrote this, lots has happened. In July 2001, Martin became very ill and died in February 2002. Tat left me devastated. There I was in Sweden with a huge burden, of WHAT TO DO!!! Thank goodness for Martin's wonderful friends who helped me through a very difficult time. After a year of trying to hang on, I sold the apartment in Uppsala and moved in with a cousin, trying to maintain the six months here and there. That had to end, also, but I do spend a month or two with friends every year. I now live more permanently in Laguna Woods Village, a retirement community in Southern California. I also have a very significant other and life is good.
