Boy, where do you begin? I guess I'll start here: After graduating from Willow Springs School in 1980, I went to Nazareth Academy for High School graduating in 1984. My plan was to stay in Willow Springs for the rest of my life. Hmm, that didn't happen. I currently live in Bloomingdale, Michigan. How did that happen? Well, I lived in Willow (on Kazwell Street) until I was about 25. Between the ages of 19 & 25, my life had taken many different turns. Some good, some not so good. Bad relationships, good relationships - along with many friendships. There is nothing like that small town feeling. Working for the Village of Willow Springs was just incredible, what a great experience. Bar hopping from TD's, Judy's Friendly Tap, Willow Crossing, Ziarco's, The Roadhouse, Kegls & The Willowbrook for oldies night are probably the best times I ever had! How about Cesaers Last Resort in Lemont or Johnny's 83 & Chet's Melody Lounge in Justice? Parties at the Mroch's/Bickings were the Best. Trips to the cottage for weekend parties were so much fun. Willow Springs Festivals..and small time politics are memories that I will hold in my heart forever! Willow Springs was where I wanted to be - forever> That was the plan.... My parents divorced and my mom & I moved into an apartment in Brookfield. Dad moved to Justice. Moving away had to be the hardest thing to do.
