Barbara's Story

I am a retired bookkeeper, married for 47 years. I have 2 children, our son Sean (43) who is married to Amy, our daughter Kerrin (40) and a brand new granddaughter Ava. I still live in the same house in the Queensway neighbourhood where I grew up. My kids liked it here and complained every time we thought about moving. rhood is changing a lot. Some of the smaller houses are being upgraded to two stories. There are condos going up on The Queensway and townhouses at Norseman and Islington that used to be the site of the Sunbeam company. Castlebar school was closed but they reopened it last year. Norseman school just saw a big addition. Some of our neighbours have lived here for many years and people are still as nice and friendly as they were during the 50's.
