Barbara's Story

Hi Everyone, I guess it’s time to update a little..I still work for the same place & Bobbie & I have been there almost 21 years. We haven’t shared the job for years now..she is the Executive Assistant to the owner/CEO and I’m the office manager/accounts receivable person & I still don’t think I want to retire. Not much has changed in my life..I firmly believe in the saying “no news is good news”. I’m still an avid baseball Grandma..love watching the kids. I ran into my sweet friend from high school last week..some of you probably remember her..Claudia Ramsdorfer..so fun to catch up on her life.. For all the years I’ve lived in Mission Viejo we have lived only 7 miles from each other. I still am into painting...love to read when I can just sit & relax, I love all kinds of movies..my sister & I say we never met a movie we didn’t like...I work right next to the beach so I love the ocean & and especially the sound...I hope you all are doing well..so many nice memories at Rancho... This is my original profile... I decided to edit the information about me. I started school in Albuquerque, New Mexico at Cortez elementary. Then came to northern California to live with my Grandparents, and I went to Beresford Tipton Elementary, Abbott Jr. High, both in Hillsdale, CA. We moved to Belmont Shore (Long Beach), CA and I went to Will Rogers Middle School and on to Wilson for half of my sophmore year. We ...Expand for more
moved to Garden Grove and I graduated from Rancho Alamitos. I married my high school sweetheart, Bob Dyvig, and we moved to Mission Viejo in 1971. Bob passed away in 2007. We had been married for 43 years and have a daughter, Bobbie, and two grandson's, 11 and 18. I still live in Mission Viejo and I work in Laguna Beach. Bobbie and her family live close by so I spend a lot of time with them, going to the kids baseball games and other family outings (I think I have missed 5 in the last 12 years between the two of them). Bobbie and I have shared a job as office managers for an appraisal office for the past 17 years. I don't know when I am going to retire...I really like working and can't imagine staying home all the time. I am still friends with a few high school friends..Dave Howard and Pegi Humphrey are our closest friends..they were graduates of Rancho also, we double dated all the time and we were close friends as young marrieds and then our girls grew up together and are like sisters today. I am still friends with Jerry & Diane Stewart and John & Andy Gula and Pat Vaughn, and Diana Kern. (we re-connected on Classmates)...it's fun having friends from that time of our lives to share memories with. So I guess that's about it. It's fun to see all the names and photo's of classmates...nice memories of friends from way back when or "back in the day" as my youngest grandson says all the time.
