Barbara's Story

Life Hi All, I've been working at he local hospital for 5 + years now. I worked for ARC for almost 8 years before that~~~for that job all I can say is, 'Run away, run away!' I have 3 redheaded sons, Dan, John and Dave. (27, 25 and 19) My son John moved to Portland Oregon a few months ago and I'm hoping to relocate there hopefully in a few months~~can't take the long Adirondack winters anymore. Way too long and too cold! I'm going to St. John's, Newfoundland in July with my niece to visit family I was born there and haven't been back since I was 6 months old. We must be crazy because we're driving! I'm single (again) and very happy that way! Time to enjoy life; kids are all grown up no grandchildren yet, so lots of free time to do what I enjoy! Love to hear from all of you; so many old Catholic school stories to laugh about. I'll be posting some pics soon~~my HP all in one was kidnapped by the ex! It was just one of those ex things, "If you take the skis I gave you leave the printer!" I needed the skis just in case I found someone to ski with~~~have skis will ski! Ask me! I have an Old English Sheepdog named, Sofie and a cat named Boo. If anyone I traveled to Europe with in the summer of 1970 sees this love to hear from you guys too! (FSL) Yet another Catholic group! School St. Agnes, Lake Placid, NY St. Pius, Saranac Lake, NY~~~2 painful years at Lake Placid High! Biggest inspiration in St. Agnes was: 1) Sister Anna Marie she taught me to duck when she paddled me; complained to my mom (called her from the hospital) and said, "M...Expand for more
rs. Spencer, Barbara put me in the hospital! She wouldn't stand still while I was paddling her and I threw my back out!" Mom said; " Okay sister, you're telling me Barbara wouldn't stand still while you were beating her? Good-bye sister!" Sister Anna Marie having a long inspirational talk with me telling me she was worse than me when she was my age, "And I became a nun!" Told sister not to worry about that because I will NEVER become a nun! 2) Sister John Matha she taught me what its like to be a nun, be old and crazy. LPHS: 3) Mrs. Kirst Latin teacher extronaire~~~taught me that you can teach Latin totally plowed! St. Pius: 4) Sister Ted taught me you can teach Choir even though you can't sing! 5) Sister Kathleen Marie~~~there are loving sweet nuns not out to kill you. LOVED HER! I'd do it all over again but, would never go to LPHS! Biggest crush was a really good friend of mine in HS; was afraid to go out with him but, adored him. College NCCC first time in 1970~~~just back from a summer studing in Europe! Learned Liberal Arts meant party time! Back in 1975~~~Taking business courses was not for me just not my thing Back again for nursing~~~learned I really should have been more serious as a student before I was a single parent (divorced) with 3 small kids and no family support system. (my mom and dad had died; no close family to depend on for help!) Here's Barbara 1994 took a computer course and loved it! The future; 2040 Barbara finally "Finds herself and gets a PHD in life studies! Military NO WAY~~~PEACE LOVE DOVE
