Barbara's Story
Life
Well life has been very busy since high school. I attended Central Connecticut State University and graduated in January of 1992. While attending college I met my husband while attending a friends birthday party. He was serving in the United States Navy in Groton, CT. We started dating my freshman year. During my Senior year his boat moved to the west coast for his last year in the Navy. Upon graduating college we married in October of 92. We moved to Bristol, CT. and started our life together. We started our family with our first daughter Abigail being born in 1994. Our second daughter Hannah was born in 1996. In July of 1997 we moved to Lawrenceville Georgia, just outside of Atlanta, Georgia for my husband's job. While in Georgia we had 2 more wonderful children. to us. In August of 2003 we moved to Spartanburg, South Carolina for another job transfer for my husband. We love it here. The area is much more laid back than Atlanta, but still a great area. We are looking forward to being here a long time if I have anything to say about it, but you never know... when the job calls we may have to go if its a good opportunity. I am a part time stay at home mom. I teach 3 year old preschool at our church preschool five days a week from 8:30 - 12:30. I am also in charge of our new summer preschool day camp this summer. It should be interesting as this is the first year and my first year heading it up. I am hoping that we will be able to make it to the 20 year class reunion. We are just waiting since my husband may have to travel to China in the fall and we haven't gotten the dates yet.
