Barry's Story
Life
7.5 more years to retirement (this coincides with paying off house in 7.5 years). Aerospace/mechanical engineer with the government for the last 20+ or so years. before that design engineer in private industry. Aikido, bicycling, Scottish Gaelic, and sometimes classical guitar playing are my passions and pasttimes. Now add to that: Triumph owner and enthusiast. 3 grown kids from 1st marriage. Been remarried now for almost 19 years. 1 grandchild, and 1 dog and 1 cat.
Update: Retired in May 2014 after almost 35 years with the government. Another grandchild, Married 28 years now. Have recumbent bicycles and 2 Kayaks (The garage is jammed packed wall to wall and the ceiling is holding the kayaks!). House paid for and have only only one debt- the 2011 Prius-but paying that off rapidly. Been collecting Social Security for almost a year now. Wife will start hers in Febuary 2015.

almost 4 years in the Air Force. Got an early out of 2 weeks while in Turkey so I could return and make the drive from Tinker AFB in OK to SLO to start the Spring Quarter session. Majored in mechanical engineering and transferred credits from Merritt college AA degree in engineering technology.
Update: Masters Degree in Aerospace Management 2007.
oh gosh- life's been good since retiring in 2014-a good decision- income has almost been what it was before the retirement. Did a short RV vacation in the North west this last spring/early summer. More plans to visit there in 2017 to visit longer than just 2 weeks. We have a thousand trails member ship, so RVing is free to us for up to 21 days. then we can move to another TT location with same benefits. Just takes diesel fuel to get there from Oklahoma.
I'm planning a reunion in 2020--missed the 50th; but its only numbers---right?
See you guys at the 55th!!! W'ell keep you posted on our adventures on Facebook in the mean time!!
