Barry's Story

Currently living in Geneva Illinois. My wife and I moved back here after living in Florida for 18 years. I have six grandchildren, whom all live here, hence our return. I retired as an Assistant Chief with the Reedy Creek Fire Department. I also retired from the USAF after almost 23 years, as a Master Sergeant . I finished my Air Force career as a Medical Technician, the first half of my career w spent working on fighter jets. I have a daughter and a son and as I mentioned they gave me six beautiful grandchildren. I am semi-retired and hope to be fully retired by the end of 2023. I fell in love...Expand for more
with golf in 1999 and became an instructor in 2004. I traveled much of the globe because of the Air Force, served in the Gulf War, which took me to many places I doubt I ever would have gone. Those of you who remember me will recall that I wasn’t a scholar by any stretch, oddly enough I did get BS in Fire Science from Purdue University, it was part and parcel to the Assistant Chief position I held. I also traveled the US, only four states that I haven’t been to, all in the northwest. Final thought: of all the positions/ role’s I’ve had over the years, grandpa is the best one hands down! 🙂
