Barry's Story

Life I'm currently living in Central Florida. I'm an owner/operator rock hauler with a 1993 Volvo tandem with a 1988 Hardee dump trailer. My CB handle is "Tonka". Tonka is the Sioux Indian word for "Great". Who'da thunk it? Check out the "Work" tab for a story of the kind of crap we professional drivers have to put up with. If you happen to see Goober later on tell him I said "Duh-huh", he will know what I mean. ---------------------------------- I'm hammerhead22 on eBay check out my stuff for sale. Click on the link to my website and see if you want anything. ---------------------------------- I really like the $100 million dollar question...What would you do if you won $100 million? Y'all would know what I'd do if I won that much loot..I'd disappear with no forwarding address...see you losers later. College I went to flight school for about $150 per hour to train to be a rotorhead, unfortunately I ran out of money and never went back. Flying with the doors off at 5000 feet was a blast though, a little like a flying jeep. I did learn one thing though, the statuate of limitations for defaulted student loans is the same as murder. They drop off your credit history after seven years like any other debt, but the tax man confiscates any refunds until you're paid up which will be never. Moral of ...Expand for more
the story is don't give the government too much in tax money, always owe money. That and always vote Republican of course! Workplace I blew a trailer tire the other day, destroyed it good. I dumped my load and drove it to the tire shop to hang a new one on. On the way this old fart in a Ford Ranger passes me and is blowing the horn pointing for me to pull over, so like a moron I do. I rolled my window down and said "May I help you?" He says "Do you know your back tire is flat?" I said "Yes, I do!" Then he says "Why are you driving so fast?" I told him "I'm empty...it doesn't matter how fast I go." Now he says "Can I see your drivers license?" I ask "Are you a cop?" He says "No." I say "Good, we're done." I push the yellow brake knob in and pull back into traffic. This is where it gets cute. He pulls in front of me and just stops. He thought this would stop me while he calls my employer on his cell phone. I drive a semi-trailer dump and am used to driving it off-road, so I just took it down into the ditch to get around this idiot. He accelarates to about 35 MPH in a 55 MPH zone with me behind him. I can tell he's on the phone no doubt learning from my employer that I own both the truck and the trailer and they could care less how I drive them. Too damn many busy bodies out there.
