Barry's Story
I followed up my love of journalism at Clearfield High School, working on the Talon, where I chased my dream at first, then the Lakeside Review, the Ogden Standard-Examiner, the Times of Gainesville, Georgia, the Charlotte Observer, the Cleveland Plain Dealer and the Dallas Morning News, before moving to Japan in 2001 with my wife, Yumiko, to work for Pacific Stars and Stripe...Expand for more

Now, I am working for the Asahi Shimbun newspaper in Tokyo as the copy desk chief of its new digital newspaper, Asahi Japan Watch, which translates articles from the Japanese newspaper into English. You can find it on the Kindle or the Apple store, or by Google at Asahi Japan Watch.
I do get back to Clearfield every year to see my Mom. Hope to make the next class reunion.
