Life Greetings my fellow Fransciscans! Hail and well met!! Many apologies for the long delay since my last correspondence with all of you but the travels in which I have been indulging have been extensive and so fascinating that my uncle Wendall Wizzmo and myself have extended our stay in the fair country of Italy far beyond our planned time table. Do you remember my telling you that our explorations into the catacombs of Italy had led us to signs of intelligent life that had existed before the history of man? While much of what we have found is still being examined and studied, our hypothesis at this point is that there has been intelligent life superior to our current society (!!) in existence far before intelligent man walked the planet. We have traveled deeply into the catacombs throughout Italy and our excavations have turned up a number of fascinating objects, not the least of which is a piece of rock with an object of smooth metal contained inside which could only have been formed by some type of intelligent being. Upon viewing the x-rays of said object, we've discovered that this piece looks very much like a type of crude battery. The rock in which this was found predates earliest man by approximately 5000 years, which dates the piece within the rock to an even earlier time. As if this wasn't enough, the piece itself seems to be made of a material not found in its simplest form on earth. The implications here are staggering and yet, as any good researcher will tell you, much more research needs to be performed so that we may elaborate on an already fascinating subject.
