SAME SONG, 2ND VERSE:
The ever changing world of a military family. We returned to the States from Germany a little over a year ago (do you have any idea how difficult it is to buy a new vehicle without a phone?!) and are now in the DC Metro area (yes, everything you hear about DC traffic is true, and it's all bad.) Don is assigned to the Pentagon and I'm a receptionist in a doctor's office. There's so much to do here!! Hopefully we will be able to experience most of it before the Air Force moves us again. We enjoy attending concerts at the Kennedy Center and have now seen "Phantom of the Opera" three times in the 13 years we've been married. UPDATE: Since we ARE an active duty military family, a lot of the previous info is now out of date. We are no longer in Oklahoma; we now live in Germany. We are stationed at NATO Air Base Geilenkirchen and are only a few minutes from The Netherlands as well as an 90 minute drive from Brussels, Belgium. We should be here 3 years. Don was promoted to Major in January 2005. Still no kids; my dog who thought he was a person died a year after we arrived in Germany and we have since adopted a 4 year old mixed breed named Ace. Ace also has lots of human qualities, including running around in circles.And for those who might be curious about my brother, he still lives near Dothan and now has 2 boys.
