Becky 's Story
Any of you that remember me, remember that I left school in 11th grade and got married. That lasted almost 15 years resulting in six kids, three boys, then three girls. I started back to school when I turned 30. I decided, after having to deal with a lot of medical issues, to get into medicine. Unfortunately, a motorcycle accident and a divorce kind of derailed my aspirations after I had completed my first year. I married again several years later. What a mistake that was. That didn't last very long. That relationship landed me in Buffalo, NY. After having worked several different types of jobs, I ended up going to school to drive a truck. One of the companies that I worked for locally is where I met my current, and final, husband. He has one son, so that makes seven for me now. ilt in 1840, and large house on four acres. We have no neighbors, basically. It's very peaceful, and of course, in a lot of need of repair. We are in the process, slow process, of remodeling. Aside from being 1500 miles from my kids, I love it here. My husband's family are wonderful. His parents live only a minute away. I'm still driving a truck. It's a large dumptruck that I do road construction with. I have been seriously considering going back to finish college and make that dream of becoming a doctor a reality. The motorcycle accident that I mentioned before has resulted in two spinal surgeries in the past eight years, so it has been getting increasingly more difficult to continue doing my job. I have thought often, over the years, of all the people that I knew back in high school and have wondered what had ever become of them. I hope that this finds everyone happy and healthy. I miss you all.
