Becky's Story
Hello fellow Trojans!!!
After graduating in 1989, I enrolled at Del Mar. I had decided to become a pychologist, so that was the first course I took. I loved it, but decided listening to other people's problems day after day was not my cup of tea, so I struggled for about a year, until I settled on Journalism. Soon, I became editor of the school paper there and loved it!!
I also began work for our local convention and visitors bureau in their PR department. I loved this, too, so I was officially torn!

ears when my fiance and I decided to move to Washington DC.
We were there for two years. And then in 2001 I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. I moved back home to Corpus Christi so I could fight the cancer with my parents by my side. I've been here since. My photo here on Classmates.com features my bald, mishapen head in 2002!!
In April of this year, I was diagnosed with a second cancer, this time of my thyroid. I had surgery to remove the thyroid and 50 lymph nodes in June and am scheduled for radiation treatment soon.
Looking forward to catching up with everyone at our 20th Reunion next year!
