Rebecca's Story
Life
I graduated in 1991 from St Mary's College-Notre Dame with a degree in French and Secondary education. I married Lt Jay Updegraff (USAFA 1990) in September of 1991. We were stationed in Chandler,AZ for the rest of that year as he finished up pilot training. We then were stationed in Columbus, OH where he attended Ohio State for his Masters. We moved shortly thereafter to Cincinnati, OH where I accepted a position in Sales with The Pillsbury Company. I worked for Pillsibury while he attended Graduate School at OSU. He commuted. We moved to Medford, NJ in 1994 where he was assigned to the 32nd ARS at McGuire AFB. He flew KC-10's there. We welcomed our first child, Daniel Francis on 11/17/96. I decided at that point to stay at home full time and devote myself to being a mother. We welcomed our second child, Catherine Eloise on 11/27/00. We moved in June 01 to Dover, DE where Jay was assigned to the 3AS as a C-5 pilot. By this time, he had been promoted to Major. We moved again in June 2004 to Montgomery, AL where he is assigned to the Air Command and Staff College (ACSC) as a student. Our next move is scheduled for June 2005 to Ft Leavenworth, KS for SAMS (an advanced military strategy course). I continue to stay at home with my 2 children. I keep myself busy buying & selling on Ebay, scrapbooking, and cooking for my family. Life couldn't be better!
