Becky's Story

Becky Robinson Miller. Fifty-eight years old, not 68. That was a typo! Married to Jim Miller from Columbus, Ohio. Chris Corwin Williams introduced us. Jim went to West High in Columbus and Ohio State University. We have one daughter, Amy. She and her ' husband, Ian are expecting our first grandbaby in Aug. She's a girl! Her name is Emily Claire. We live in Winter Park, FL now. Moved away from Winter Park, 1967. Graduated from Florida Southern College in 1972. Started teaching in '72. Retired in 2000. Yea! Lived in: Lakeland, FL, Barksdale AFB, Shreveport, LA, Syracuse, NY, Endicott, NY, Friendswood (Houston area), TX and Minneapolis, MN, Lakeland, FL then back to Winter Park. That's why I disappeared. Taught exceptional children in Winter Haven, Lakeland, FL, Minneapolis, MN. and Oak Ridge HS in Orlando. Now, I do volunteer work with Veterans. ck in Florida. Anything over 70o is too cold! New York and Minneapolis were too cold for a Florida girl. Gardening, swimming, fishing, going to the beach, gathering with family, friends and enjoying our puppies, kitty, and two birds. Expecting our first grandchild in August. She's a girl! Can't wait. My Father: Did anyone out ther know my Dad? Capt.Jimmy P. Robinson: B-24 Bombadier, WWII POW in Bucherest, Romania. Home base was Bari,Italy. Bergstrom AFB, TX, Kwajalein, Marshall Islands. First thermonuclear test, H Bomb test. He traveled on the USS Rendova to Kwajalein in 1952. He was called "Robby." He was an F-84G-5 pilot 'Cloud Sampler ' during Operation Ivy, 11-1-1952. That was his last mission. His plane and body were not found.Does anyone out there have any information on the recovery of his F-84G-5 from the lagoon in Enewetok, Marshall Islands? Any information from anyone who knew him or knew of his crash, please let me know. Thank you, Becky Robinson Miller
