Belinda's Story
Life
I've lived most of my adult life in Northern Virginia. I went to George Mason University and then worked for the FBI until 1994, when my husband retired from IBM.
I have two adult children, Bryan and Kelly. Both of my children moved to Mississippi, where I was born, after they became adults. When my husband retired, we moved to Mississippi too, to be near the children and my family. I love it here. I live in a tiny little town, and I teach elementary special education. My daughter is a kindergarten teacher at the same school.
The only down side to my life, is that my husband died about 18 months ago. It was not unexpected; he'd been sick for three years. I consider myself lucky to have experienced the years we had together. Now, I'm adjusting to a life that's different than I expected.

is wonderful. I spend the summers teaching them to swim and spoiling them. I travel a little, but mostly hang out with family and friends, garden a little, play a little golf, and go to the casinos on the Mississippi gulf coast every once in a while.
I remarried on January 5, 2009. Life's great. I plan to retire from teaching at the end of the 2009-2010 school year. My new name is Belinda Ross. I sold my house in Sumrall and now live in the Eatonville area near Hattiesburg.
Update, I'm actually going to retire the 2nd week in January 2010.
I did retire. I love it. My husband and I stay so busy that I don't know how we ever found the time to work. My two children and three grandchildren live in the area, and his three children and five grandchildren also live in the area. In addition to that, my mother who has altheimers lives with us.
