Belle's Story
Life...
Who knew.
I have spent my life trying to do good for others and having fun along the way. I have been and done so very much. I am a US Marine Corps Vietnam Veteran; a former minister of Metropolitan Community Church; one of the RI '76 ers... the stalwart band that sued for the right to hold the first PRIDE Parade in RI and led the Parade back in 1976; one of the first female Fire Alarm Dispatchers in Warwick, RI; and, I still perform as a Drag King.
I was [the first female elected Emperor in RI] Emperor 16 of the Imperial Court of RI at Providence a few years back and will celebrate my 5 year anniversary next April. For those who dont know; The Imperial Court system is the 2nd largest LBGT Fundraising organization in the Country. ICRI is one of 70 across the US and Canada. I have been very busy. However, I am never too busy to look back and fondly remember so many wonderful people who have passed through my life. I still have all the photos I have taken over the years and they bring back so many great memories of days gone by.
I am now 70. Never expected to live this long. I have been blessed with having found my biological family and have been welcomed by all. Now, in addittion to my sisters, Barbara and Bunny; Nephews Tommy and Tony and Niece, Vanessa and their kids [my Great nephew/neices]: Naomi, Tyler, Wesley, Sylvie, Domenico and Giovanni, I have 3 bio-sisters: Gloria, Darlene and Nancy; and 5 brothers: Alan, Willam, Robert [deceased], James and Brian. That doesnt even touch all the new Nieces, nephews, cousins, and great..."s. WOW!
