Ben's Story
After Armijo I had already tested for Mare Island and was employed there as an apprentice. Gail(McCabe),Armijo class of 66, and I were married in 67. That's the lady in the picture. She pulled me through High School so we figured what the heck.
After an accident at Vallejo Speedway I was retired and I got a job at Wescom in Contra Costa County for six years.Then we moved back to Tampa Florida area where I'm from.
We have a wonderful indepedant daughter and a fantastic 7 yr old grandson.
We enjoy life and at this time the hobby is antique cars,auto memoralbilia,old gas pumps and that sort of stuff.I answer questions around here like what are you going t...Expand for more
o do with all this stuff. Women just don't understand. We take these cars to events in and around the Tampa,Daytona, St.Pete area.
We've been blessed with a wonderful life with a bunch of ups and a bunch of downs and they all just make you stonger.
Gail still works for the school system and hopefully she can retire next year. Maybe she can help me restore a Gaspump.........Ben
We donated some money to a local Volunteer Fire Department and they gave us a free Olin Mills portrait. I sent Gail down to pick it up and I'll be Darn if they didn't photoshop me with this OLD Man. Whats with that!!
