Benjamin's Story

Life Hi. I've done a lot in life from racing motocross to singing in a band to competeing in snowboarding. Right now, i'm just going to college for a degree in Geographic Infomation Systems and still competeing in snowboarding. I almost got married once, but things didn't work out and i'm still a bachelor, but I'm fine with that for now. I live in Bend Oregon and enjoy life. I mountain bike about 100 miles a week and try to keep things positive, no matter what life throws at me. In both 2003 and 2004 winters I competed in the USASA snowboard nationals and placed in the top 10 overall. Now retired from competitive snowboarding at the end of the 04 winter season. In 2004 I am currently enlisted in the Army and at Ft. Knox Kentucky awaiting deployement to you know where as a 19D Cavalry Scout dealing with recon missions.... ally cut out for the Army, Well I start by saying it was kind of a crappy year. After jumping threw hoops for nothing for the Army, I lost a brother. My brother Daniel Craig Erickson, died age 38 on Nov. 21 2004. I have been helping my retired father in Bullhead City Az ever since. This year I have just thrown out everything I have done the last 15 years of my life and started over from scratch.. I am now a mechanic at a Dodge dealership and very much enjoy, as I have a love for cars. I actully love going to work, kind of weird for me. Still getting use to no snow close by. I want to go snowboarding this winter for sure. Maybe SoCal, maybe NorCal, maybe Oregon. It's had finding time for myself with Dad in mind these days. Anyway, thats me for now, 12/22/05 College I went to Central Oregon Community College for an AAS in Geographic Information Systems.
