Benjamin's Story
Life
After I graduated from High School I went to Air Force basic training. After basic training I went to Tech School at Lackland AFB in San Antonio Texas. There I learned Air Transportation. After that, my first assignment was at Scott AFB, IL, which is 19 miles east of St. Louis. Which by far was my best assignment ever. From there I moved to Incirlik Air Base in Turkey. What a crazy place. I had a lot of fun there but I dont ever want to go back..Except for the food and the beer. :) After that I ended up moving to England. I was stationed at RAF Mildenhall, which is 80 miles north of London. I loved England and I would have lived there for ever if I could. I made some great friends there and most importantly I got my dog there, a Jack Russell Terrorist. :) After England I got an assginment to Dover AFB, Dela...where!?!?!? tly I will end my Air Force career here at Dover. I do love the area though. I am also a volunteer firefighter, which I love to do, also I am involved in the Kent County Special Operations Team. We specialize in any advanced rescues..i.e Confined space, high angle, collapse, and trench rescues to name a few. Since I have been here I deployed to Kandahar, Afghanistan. Wow what a experience! The picture of me is after a dust storm in Afghanistan. Its the only close up pic I have of me. Since I have been in the Air Force I have been to Germany tons of times, Italy, Turkey, England, France, Belgium, Luxemborg, Austria, Canada, and Afghanistan, Puerto Rico, Domincan Republic, St Thomas, and the Bahamas. I have been so lucky to have traveled as much as I have. Shoot me a email sometime...I would like to hear from my classmates or people I have been staioned with.
