Bernadette's Story
Life
Moved away in 1972 (after 7th) to Wies in Austria (Europe) with my 5 brothers (Desi, Michael, Alfons, Christopher and Marcus) and parents. We were the strange guys carrying our leather school bags on our backs. Finished school in Wies and Deutschlandsberg, went to a teacher's academy in Graz, Austria after "graduating". Cut my braids off (no more "birds' nests"!) when I was 26. Started teaching 10- to...Expand for more
15-year-olds in 1980. English, biology (zoology, botany, health etc.), physics, typing and IT, at times other subjects too. Still at the same small school out in the country. Married in 1981, 1 son born 1984 (working full-time and studying and teaching). Built a house. No pets.
Visits in the States in 1976 and 1982. Sometimes I'm a bit homesick at times - then I google a bit (maps). I think back a lot.
