Bernadette's Story
It is hard to believe my oldest child is already 19 and away from home. The running joke is that I am having a hard time letting go. True! Last year he moved to AZ to live with his grandparents and go to college. This past summer the younger kids and I moved to AZ. Johnny got a job about an hour and a half north , I bought a house an hour north. Sure hope he doesn't move for a long time, this is our retirement house. My husband was set to retire from the Army this summer but now has to stay until the end of the year. I will be so happy when this part of our life is over. The Army has provided a good life for us but these past six years have had us moving every year and a half. The younger two children are doing good. she is no longer a baby. Her main interest is still horses and she is hoping to take one of our horses to a horse camp this summer. I know I promised to let her go but I just don't know if I can let her go for a whole week. I have not worked outside of the house for a few years now. With all the moves we have had lately I barely finished unpacking when it was time to pack up again. We will be moving into our house in March and hopefully my husband will be home right after Christmas. Maybe I will start looking for a job after that or maybe I will just make sure Fausto gets a job that makes enough for me to continue to stay haome and be there when the kids get home or when Saia needs to stay home. I love being there whenever she needs me and I am sure a job would not understand missing it if I had to stay home with my daughter multiple times a month.
