Bernard's Story
Life
Since you are reading this... Sure. I'd like to hear from you...
A friend of mine once said, "People don't change, they just get more... More like what they've always been." How true. My sense of humor still gets me in trouble. I'm still a loyal friend. I spent twenty years in the clergy, have a 14 year old daughter and am generally happy in a quiet life. Right now, I'm a Contracting Officer for the State of Georgia. I am basically a professional negotiator.
Like I said, I'd like to hear from you. One can never have too many friends - especially friends who, when honest, can only claim possession of a similar number of birthdays and residual moving parts.
Thanks for dropping in.....

u who went through Southwest DeKalb with me. Despite all of the stuff that can now go unspoken with high school, you gave me the chance to start fresh among you as a Junior. My Junior High School experience had been a relentless and cruel disaster. You helped me to overcome it. I will always be grateful to you.
College
For four years, I rode to Georgia Tech with Mark Greene through rush hour traffic. If that wouldn't get you to pray, nothing would... and so transferred to Mercer in Atlanta ultimately going to seminary in Wake Forest, North Carolina. At that time, one learned not only about scripture and theology, but also what it means to be human. I learned that life in the face can have grace and unexpected second chances.
