f guys, Jobaggy from NY, Harris from WV, and a couple of Viet Namese fellows. I was assigned to HQ 4th Bn, 6th Arty in Spangdahlem, Germany, and just by luck, was selected to stay in HQ instead of being sent to a line battery. I worked for MSG Lloyd Miller, and LT James W. Greer in Bn S-2 processing classified material etc. I remember some guys, Wilbur in S3, Hax, Rismey, Grey, Bishop, Dvorak, Willett, and many other faces, but cannot recall names too good any more. I left Spang in 1968, and then joined the reserves in 1976 in Curtis Bay, MD in the 949th Transportation Co. This was a boat company, and I worked with CWO Al Herb, he being the Chief Engineer, and myself as 1st Engineer. Loved the boats and the guys aboard all of the vessels on which I served. I left the reserves after 10 years, but now wish I had stayed.
