Enjoyed attending Arlington from Kindergarten to mid-year of the 5th grade. Still remember Mrs Wallace the kindergarten teacher; playing on the playground (That had no grass). My friends, the Batchers, Bonnie Graham, Lori Odom, Joe Persall, Mark Peterson (who lost a tooth playing in snow on the hill west of portable), Margaret Peterson, Dennis Webb just to name the ones I remember. attended Stewart Elementary in Puyallup; 6th at Bethel Junior High; 7th at Gray Junior High; 8 & 9 at Mann Junior High, 10-12 at Clover Park High School. A lot of moving and a lot of family turmoil. I don't have many memories from mid-5th grade to 8th grade since we moved every summer.
Once we settled in Lakewood and I went to Mann I made a lot of friends that to this day I miss not keeping the connections we had from school. I can recall being in choir at Mann and hating the PE coach at Mann as well. I remember Mr Nojd and his taped together yard sticks; swating students in the hallways.
