Bert's Story
I was a shy kid with buck teeth. Remembering walking down to Harry's Superette after school for popsicles. Steve Swiger lived just down the street. Mrs Ireland in third grade used to keep me after school to diagram sentences on the board. I hated her for that, but later met her in town and told her how valuable it was in my English studies.

mell from the teacher kitchen off the MP room during Mrs Brooks' 4th grade class. It smelled like rotten eggs. They said it was potatoes baking. I was never convinced.
Principal Chaucer Hall used to get right up into my face when I was sent to the office. I hated him. But during my first year at WVU I ran into him at the Summit residence hall, and he remembered me.
