Beth's Story

Life 1979 I bartended at Bay Valley Inn Nightclub and Resort for the summer and decided I needed to get away from Saginaw to forget a broken heart, travel and start a new life! So I joined the Air Force and traveled to San Antonio, Texas for basic training. I was really healthy but it was still rough training and exercising in the extreme heat in August in Texas! It was a long six weeks but I made it. Next I was stationed in Denver, Colorado for technical training. I had lots of time to explore Denver and go camping in the mountains. My first assignment was at Tyndall Air Force base in Panama City Florida for 1+1/2 years. My broken heart was long since forgotten. I was too busy to think of the past. What a change after living in MI. Sun, heat, humidity and lots of rain. I had so much fun. I had a gang of girls and guys I hung out with like the Friends TV show. Life was grand. I lived in a free apartment on the base, free utiliites, free meals and a paycheck. I went to Gulf Coast Community College in Panama City and the A.F. paid for it. I was anxious to travel more and was able to get an assignment to England for 4 years. I traveled all over England, Ireland, France, Greece, Amsterdam, ect. during my free time. I continued going to college at night for Business and Administration. In 1986 I left the Air Force and came home to Zilwaukee. I joined Holly's Inc. as a Mgr. and relocated to Kalamazoo. I worked at both their Holiday Inn Hotels and the Sheraton as a Food, Beve...Expand for more
rage and Banquet Mgr and continued my education at Western MI University. I was transferred to the Grand Rapids Holiday Inn on Ann Street on the River. We had a hot nightclub there, Escapades, that was really fun to manage. My little sister, Tammy Mayberry (Pagano) passed away in 1990 and I needed a change in my life. I was hired to open a new nightclub in Farmington Hills, MI and then went on to work at another of their nightclubs in Royal Oak. Eventually, I wanted to work days again and returned to work as a Food, Beverage and Banquet Manager at the Sheraton in Novi. Now I wanted a job with no huge holiday buffets and weekend banquets so I became an Office Manager for Weiss Construction in the Detroit Renaissance Center on the 34th floor. What a view! I always had fun and enjoyed all my jobs, I've been blessed because each job I had was always better than the one I had before. 1995 I stopped working there to take care of my baby daughter, Danielle. This is my all time favorite job of all, being a Mom. Chapter 2. My love life... In 1986, at the Kalamazoo, MI Holiday Inn Hotel, I met the love of my life, Mark Eisenhardt. We started dating in 1987 and then we decided to get married. We have a terrific daughter, named Danielle, who goes to school in West Bloomfied at Orchard Lake Middle school. We adore her and currently live in Keego Harbor, MI. Mark and I celebrated 21 years of being together in 2007. If anyone has heard from Belinda Kingrey, please have her contact me.
