Beth's Story
Life
After graduating from SRU, I taught middle school and elementary school in Western and Eastern PA and in central Virginia. After grad school at the University of Virginia, I taught college in Wisconsin for five years. Then I moved here to central New York. Currently I am a college professor at the State University of New York College at Cortland. I prepare elementary teachers to teach science and educational technology. My husband (of 24 years so far), dog, and I live out in the country where we have a huge garden, can much of our food, heat with a wood stove, and generate most of our electric from a photovoltaic system (solar panels). We enjoy spending any free time outdoors.
For those of you who knew my brother, he is married with 3 kids (the oldest a student at Ohio State). My parents are doing well and no longer live in Slippery Rock; they moved back to Virginia after my Dad retired from SRU.
