Beth's Story
Life
Married in 1972.
We moved to Kingman, AZ in June 2017 from WA state. We lived in WA over 20 years, but want to be near the grand kids. It's a huge change in climate and I'm learning pretty quick about desert life. Kingman elevation is over 3000 feet and we have mountains all around us. Loving it.
Moved to WA state(about 20 miles NE of Seattle)in 1996 from Huntington Beach, CA. We lived in the Valley until the mid 80's with the exception of a couple of short stays in Northern Idaho 1980&1984. Idaho is beautiful and I wouldn't mind living there again.
We loved the Northwest, with the mild summer temps and beautiful scenery. A snowy winter is the best! It's just beautiful.
We have 2 grown sons. One moved to WA. shortly after we did. The other moved to AZ in 2005. We have 2 granddaughters -...Expand for more
Sakari, born 12/15/00 and Berlin, born 11/16/2010 a grandson - Caedence, born 12/27/05.
I have been very blessed as a mother and being a Grandma is real treat. I am so glad that now we live near them.
In winter in WA I would relax by sitting by the fire while watching the snow fall. I loved to get out in the snow to photograph God's beautiful handiwork. In summer I used to photograph the beautiful foliage in the wetlands and gather the wild berries.
Now in AZ the winter mostly hasn't been too cold except in the beginning. I love that we are surrounded by mountains. I love that we can go outside at night and see the stars! In WA that wasn't an easy feat. I love that we can have the grandkids here for a a weekend or so. It's so much better than only seeing them once a year when we were up north.
