Beth Molinaro:

CLASS OF 1980
Dearborn, MI

Beth's Story

I've been peeking around at a lot of people; it'd be nice to what you've all been up to. But I can't ask you to do that if I'm not willing to share. After HS I did all the normal things: went to Germany with AFS, went to college, worked, got married (to Andrea Molinaro's brother, so Andrea is now my sister-in-law!), moved around a lot courtesy of my husband's career (mostly California, Italy, and Ohio.) We have one child: a girl, Katja. As of today (April, 2008) she is thirteen and she looks like the Molinaro side of the family. I'm currently living just outside of Dayton, Ohio in a small town called Oakwood. Wilbur and Orville Wright's mansion - Hawthorn Hill is around the corner. I visited this city when I worked for Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village in the 80's -- never thought I'd live here. Dayton's a small town, but it's got a lot of great stuff going for it: a large theater, a smaller "Victorian" theater, several universities, a world-famous contemporary dance company and a great little art museum. Plus, many people here ARE rocket scientists, thanks to Wright-Patterson AFB, which also makes for some interesting neighbors who do interesting things. ; > I worked as a marketer for several years and did an obligatory stint a...Expand for more
t Ford/Visteon in the mid-to-late '90's; then worked for P&G on the Pampers and Kandoo brands - I know more about the global markets for cars and diapers than I want to! But, I've quit the rat race and am currently in school at the University of Dayton working on another master's - this one in education and my teaching license (AYA - English and TESOL). I can't wait to graduate and get back to work full-time. My mom is retired from teaching, she's been happily married since 1983 - or was that 1982? Katie is an architect, in Chicago, married to another architect, and she has two boys. I see Andrea all the time (obviously) and still hear from Ann Marie Plucinsky, Tanya Van Order, and - of course - my high-school other half, Ned Gilardino. Ned's happily married, has a son, is living in Colorado, and was teaching middle school when I heard from him last - but I think he's a principal at a large, newer school now. If anyone remembers David Johnson, I saw him a several years ago: he is married, has three boys, and lives near Atlanta, GA. My mom is retired from teaching, she's happily married. Katie is an architect, in Chicago, married to another architect, and she has two boys. I hope this finds you happy and healthy and in great spirits!
