Beth's Story
Life
I now live in Seminole, Florida and am married to a wonderful man, Marc. We have five children. Our oldest lives in Dallas, Texas with her husband and 3 kids. Our next child lives in Witchita, KS with our grandson, Joe. We also have a daughter who is married in Tampa with two children. Our two boys live in Missouri. One is working and the other is in medical school.
We love our life and enjoy every day together. I would love to get together with my former friends and classmates from Highland Park High School and Immaculate Conception Grade School. I get home to Chicago frequently since my dad still lives there as well as my sister Meg. My other sister lives in Central Illinois.
When I lived in Chicago I owned a Human Resources Management Firm. I moved to Florida 20 years ago and have been selling real estate here since then.
Life is good and has been kind to me. I am very close to my family and although my mom passed 23 years ago, my dad is 91 and still living on the North Shore. I have one sister in Grayslake and the other lives in Peoria, IL. I do keep in touch with some of my friends from high school and many of my friends from college.
My husband and I love to travel. We are looking forward to retirement and will love to spend our time ...Expand for more
traveling. We also love being grandparents. In fact, that's the best. We get all of the fun and none of the responsibility.
I didn't make the last reunion although I did make the 20 year high school reunion. I am hoping that there will be one in 2009. I would really love to have a grammar school reunion. I get home frequently and am surprised at how much Highland Park has changed. My sister's and I all say how we led "charmed lives" growing up as we did on the North Shore. I am not sure if I would enjoy it as much today though. It seems to have gotten so congsted.
My husband and I both work. He is employed at the VA Hospital in Lab Administration and I am a "Personal Matchmaker". That's right . . . if you've been looking for love in all the wrong places I'm the person for you . . . The only hitch is you have to live in Florida on the Gulf Coast. We also own a dining and social club for single adults. It's called "Dinner At 8". NO IT"S NOT WHAT YOU THINK! We actually have clients who pay us to perform a service in finding them a "partner for life". It's truly rewarding.
